Open Anthologies – DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED!
I am thrilled to announce the theme and the charity for the upcoming 2015 MDP all for charity anthology.
I lost my son John Skagen July 21st 2014, a week before his 19th birthday, due to complications of diabetes. Because of this, the charity will be The JDRF Diabetes Foundation – For A World without Type 1 Diabetes.
The title will be “Insulin Shocks!” and the theme will be anything horror related. I would like it if there was a theme of diabetes running through the anthology but that is not totally necessary but appreciated. As a reminder, everything including our costs, cover art, and submissions is by donation. That means not only is this just for exposure, but it does not come with a contributors copy either. Every penny of profit generated by the sales of these books is donated quarterly to the charity. In fact, MDP matches everything so that 100% of the cover price is sent to the charity!
Deadline is August 2nd 2015. 3000-10,000 words. Send story or questions to email@example.com
I am doing a fun project for Christmas…it is called Dear Santa. I want you to write a Dear Santa letter from…a zombie, or a ghoul, or a vampire, or ghost, or Godzilla, or Jason etc. What would The Boogey Man ask Santa for? Send your letters to firstname.lastname@example.org by December 20th 2012. All will be accepted and will be put into a free ebook for Christmas. If we get enough submissions I will make it into a paperback and will donate proceeds to feed the hungry. Hurry now, you can send as many in as you want. Get your neighbors to send them in, get THEIR neighbors to send one in. Let’s make this a fun project!
Since any and all letters are accepted, here is your DEAR SANTA contract.
